About the role

  • Manage the accounting function for an assigned Consumer Products business unit
  • Perform and oversee general accounting activities, including month-end and quarter-end close
  • Reconcile multiple general ledger accounts
  • Support accurate accounting for inventory-related activities
  • Assist in ensuring provision of accurate financial data to business unit leadership
  • Prepare and review the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
  • Review journal entries, bank reconciliations, and intercompany eliminations
  • Approve journal entries for accurate financial reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end and other audits
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and company financial policies
  • Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process improvements
  • Provide advanced guidance and technical support on accounting issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Eight (8) years of experience as an Accountant
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong proficiency using a Personal Computer (PC) to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and financial management software (SAP and NetSuite are preferred)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Organizational skills to maintain information in a logical manner
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Time management skills and ability to work under stress
