About the role
- Design, manage, and optimize SAN arrays and storage systems
- Architect and troubleshoot LUNs, datastores, replication, deduplication, snapshots, and DR failover processes
- Lead firmware/OS upgrades for SAN, compute hosts, and backup appliances
- Own Avamar/Data Domain environment health, capacity, replication, and restore performance
- Act as final escalation for server, virtualization, and cloud platform incidents
- Coordinate and validate vendor escalations and hardware replacements
- Create complex runbooks
- Participate in environment baselining, service health reviews, and performance analytics
- Lead root-cause analysis and produce technical reports
- Mentor L1/L2 engineers
Requirements
- 7 - 9 years of relevant, professional experience
- Proficient with: NetApp, Pure storage, Infinidat & Nimble, VMware VSAN, Ansible
- U.S. citizenship status is required due to government contract
