About the role

  • Build and manage partnerships with insurers, brokers, consultants and other key service providers.
  • Identify and secure new growth opportunities across digital and partner networks.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and ensure smooth onboarding of new partners.
  • Strengthen relationships with key external stakeholders to unlock long-term value.
  • Recruitment/acquisition of broker partner relationships nationally.
  • Develop and close new business opportunities aligned with revenue and acquisition targets.
  • Build a high-quality, well-managed pipeline using data-driven prioritisation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Advice teams to maximise lead conversion and growth.
  • Support advisors with partner engagement to enhance sales and operational performance.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, customer behaviour, and pricing dynamics.
  • Provide insights to inform product positioning, pricing strategy, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Identify emerging opportunities across insurance, fintech, and financial services.
  • Work with Product and Marketing to execute new business and investment products (incl training, market penetration).
  • Develop distribution strategies to expand Vouch’s reach and improve conversion across channels.
  • Contribute to the design of sales enablement tools, digital journeys, and advisor support materials.
  • Partner with the Head of Advice and Unit Managers to ensure advisors are enabled with relevant product knowledge and strong insurer relationships.
  • Provide insights into how partnership opportunities can improve advisor productivity and client experience.
  • Support escalations, complex deals, and strategic cases requiring senior commercial input.
  • Track and report on KPIs including pipeline value, revenue growth, partner performance, and conversion rates.
  • Use analytics to identify opportunities to optimise commercial performance.
  • Present insights to Vouch leadership and contribute to overall commercial strategy.
  • Embody Vouch’s client-first, value-driven ethos in all commercial engagements.
  • Contribute to building an innovative, collaborative, and growth-oriented startup culture.
  • Play a role in shaping Vouch’s commercial standards, processes, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in business development, commercial partnerships, or sales within insurance, financial services, fintech, or insurtech.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, broker channels, and insurer engagement models (short-term and/or long-term).
  • Proven track record of generating revenue, securing partnerships, and meeting commercial targets.
  • Experience working with financial advisors and brokerages is highly desirable.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field (preferred but not essential with strong industry experience).
  • Experience in an early-stage, high-growth environment is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and contract management ability.
  • Data-driven decision-making with solid analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strategic thinker who can execute hands-on in a fast-paced startup.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and navigate ambiguity.
