Account Manager

• Manage and grow existing house accounts by identifying opportunities for expedited services, new lanes, northbound freight, and partial loads.
• Ensure accounts receive full attention to foster long-term loyalty and trust.
• Regularly identify threats (e.g., competitor activity, service issues) and collaborate with senior leadership to implement corrective actions.
• Schedule and conduct in-person customer visits at least 3–4 times annually, with additional meetings as needed.
• Cultivate strong social and professional bonds with key decision-makers.
• Serve as the primary liaison between customers and the Customer Service Department (CSD).
• Conduct monthly calls to all house accounts to assess needs and maintain presence.
• Maintain a minimum of 10 follow-up calls per week for account relationship upkeep.
• Develop a deep understanding of each client’s internal structure, including purchasing, logistics, and planning functions.
• Maintain an updated geographic directory for all accounts.
• Prepare and deliver On-Time Performance (OTP) and EDI reports within the first 10 days of each month for accounts with contracts or agreements.
• Track expiration dates for all Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) and initiate renewal processes proactively.
• Monitor route consistency; investigate and address service lapses.
• Manage claim resolutions and escalate persistent issues when necessary.
• Assist in collections for overdue accounts when required.
• Maintain strong communication with CSD, Operations, and Finance to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Participate in operational meetings to share client feedback.
• Understand profit margins and quoting processes to support competitive pricing strategies.

Business Development Rep

• Generate new business and revenue independently
• Build a strong sales pipeline (cold calling, lead lists, networking)
• Conduct 5–10 discovery meetings per day when not traveling
• Travel across Canada, the US, and Mexico to meet prospects
• Fully utilize CRM tools (Sales Now) daily — log calls, emails, meetings
• Cross-sell services with VP of Sales and other team members
• Gather market intel on competitors and industry changes
• Propose solutions based on client needs and market trends
• Collaborate on pricing and forecasting with senior management
• Actively participate in sales planning and company growth initiatives
