About the role

  • Assess Needs & Develop Service Plans
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify veterans’ strengths, challenges, and goals
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans tailored to each veteran’s employment, housing, and supportive service needs
  • Employment & Financial Stability Support
  • Connect veterans to job training, employment opportunities, and supportive services
  • Conduct financial assessments and provide budgeting guidance to promote financial stability
  • Housing Assistance & Stability
  • Assist veterans in securing safe and stable housing
  • Support veterans in accessing housing subsidies, utility assistance, and other resources to maintain stability
  • Resource Coordination & Supportive Services
  • Assist veterans in navigating VA benefits, Social Security, and other public assistance programs
  • Maintain accurate case files, documentation, and reporting in compliance with program requirements
  • Advocate for veterans’ rights and needs, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate assistance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the area of human and/or social services or the behavioral sciences
  • Licensed Social Worker designation is highly preferred
  • Education and/or verifiable work experience with at-risk populations is required (homeless, veterans, behavioral health, drug/alcohol addiction, employment, youth, residential)
  • Valid drivers license and transportation required
