About the role

  • To support Vodafone’s key strategic growth areas in IoT
  • Develop, manage, execute & take full accountability for bringing BigData Solutions for all the IoT systems enabling all required capabilities to all of the IoT project deliveries
  • Work closely with technical delivery leads, solution architects, integration engineers, external system integrators and software developers
  • Ensure the IoT deliveries happen in time, on budget & effectively follows the agile best practices & principles
  • Help architect and deploy the tools required to enable ingestion and storage capabilities in the cloud in close cooperation with Test, Applications & Enablement teams
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings
  • Manage stakeholders and vendor interfaces as required for technical delivery and report on project progress & activities

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Kafka Cluster and Kafka connectors
  • Knowledge of Elastic Search
  • Deep Knowledge of DevOps tools
  • Deep Knowledge of Data Storage
  • Cloud Solution
  • Desirable experience with AWS Service or Google Cloud Service
  • Some level of scripting and coding experience level (e.g.Java, Python, Ruby, Bash)
  • Ability to understand architecture, network design & technical issues to drive effective agile delivery
  • Ability to maintain calm attitude during difficult situations and handle pressure situations
  • Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
  • Strong team player with an ability to identify and remove impediments or conflicts that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint & project goals
  • Self-starter & self-motivated with a drive to identify opportunities for improvement across the agile delivery processes
  • BSc or MSc level degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications
  • English (B2 or above)
  • Any other non-native language an advantage
