About the role
- Install, maintain, and fix vital telecoms systems that keep SPEN’s substations and networks running safely and reliably
- Handle fibre, copper, RF and IP-based communication systems confidently
- Support planned works, manage reactive faults, and respond to emergencies
- Complete configuration, testing, and documentation to a high standard
- Work as one team with site leads, our Network Operations Centre, Project Managers, and contractors
- Lead with safety, permits and electrical procedures followed every time
- Take pride in your kit, ensuring tools, test gear, and your vehicle are always inspection‑ready
Requirements
- Clean driving license
- Comfortable traveling as needed
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Must ideally hold SCQF Level 6 qualification(s) such as Highers or equivalent by September 2026
- Must meet UK Government apprenticeship levy funding eligibility requirements
