About the role
- You develop strategies to ensure application operations for the BSS and NSS/OSS applications you are responsible for (stability, availability, performance, etc.).
- You initiate uplift projects (EOSL topics) by creating requirements documents and implementing the projects, and you support the calculation of the business case and preparation of decision papers for board approvals.
- You support project work in the feasibility and implementation phases.
- You ensure compliance with required security policies for the applications, systems and platforms you are responsible for by analyzing access and permissions and by performing operational SOX controls as well as security audits.
- You coach internal and external staff by preparing technical documentation and training plans and by organizing and delivering technical trainings.
- You independently manage external suppliers and developers in national and international environments by creating and monitoring agreed KPIs and by moderating service review meetings.
- You are the point of contact for all IT governance areas as well as infrastructure operations in the data center / in the cloud, and for third-level support with development partners/vendors.
- You retain infrastructure accountability in collaboration with the internal service provider VCI through regular reviews of utilization reports and SLA agreements.
Requirements
- Degree in a technical field or equivalent qualification.
- At least 8 years of professional experience operating complex system landscapes.
- Comprehensive process and IT know-how in telecommunications.
- Solid knowledge of operating systems, middleware and databases, as well as standard applications.
- Experience operating applications in the cloud (AWS, Azure, OCI, etc.).
- Strong analytical, solution-oriented and business-minded thinking and approach.
- Very good ITIL knowledge and good methodological knowledge of Kepner-Tregoe.
- Fluent English, spoken and written.
- German language skills are desirable.
- Experience in intercultural communication and collaboration.
- Team player with diplomatic skills.
