About the role
- The Solution Architect is responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end digital solutions that align with Vodafone’s enterprise architecture and business flows.
- This includes translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient technical architectures, and guiding cross-functional teams through the full delivery lifecycle.
- Analyse business requirements and lead technical impact assessments
- Create and coordinate end-to-end solution designs aligned with architecture blueprints
- Develop architecture diagrams, define APIs and integration patterns, and ensure compliance with standards
- Contribute to technology strategy and roadmap development
- Validate that delivered solutions adhere to approved architecture diagrams, API specifications, and integration patterns
- Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold quality standards and best practices across projects, with emphasis on Java, React, NodeJs and Python implementations.
- Produce detailed design documentation for clarity, traceability, and future reference, ensuring alignment with governance processes
- Drive innovation by introducing modern technologies, frameworks, and best practices to enhance scalability, performance, and maintainability
Requirements
- Experience with Digital applications Architecture and Design
- Experienced in agile platform/product development within the technology or Telco industry
- Strong background in Software Engineering principles, including design patterns, algorithms, and system architecture
- Proven hands-on experience in developing, testing, and deploying software solutions, responsible for code review process
- Experience in cross-domain integration and data management
- Familiar with SSO technologies (Open ID, SAML, OAuth) and Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, TM Forum)
- Knowledgeable in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, REST APIs) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Must have technical / professional qualifications: Holds a university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Excellent knowledge of English (speaking and writing)
- Proven experience in solution architecture, including designing scalable systems, API specifications, and integration patterns
- Extensive experience designing and implementing scalable microservices architectures leveraging Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and monitoring solutions
