About the role

  • Serve as the technical reference for the operation of Application & API Security solutions
  • Administer, configure and optimize the Akamai platform, including:
  • App & API Protector
  • DNS Security
  • Bot Manager
  • Perform advanced traffic analysis, identify malicious patterns and mitigate attacks (OWASP Top 10, advanced bots, DDoS, API abuse)
  • Operate across the full incident response lifecycle, including:
  • Detection, analysis, containment, eradication and lessons learned
  • Apply the MITRE ATT&CK framework to map threats, adversary techniques and tactics
  • Support development and architecture teams in implementing Secure by Design and a Secure SDLC
  • Contribute to the definition and evolution of operational processes, playbooks and security automations
  • Act in a consultative manner with technical and business stakeholders
  • Support risk analysis, system hardening and continuous improvement of the security posture
  • Clear and objective technical communication
  • Ability to provide informal technical leadership
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Continuous learning and technical curiosity
  • Maturity in managing conflicts and critical incidents

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Senior, proven experience with the Akamai platform, including:
  • Strong expertise in application and API security
  • Hands-on experience with secure development and vulnerability analysis
  • Solid knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS)
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems:
  • Linux
  • Windows
  • macOS
  • Practical experience with security incident response
  • Proficiency in the MITRE ATT&CK framework applied to operations
  • High capacity for critical analysis, prioritization and decision-making
  • Proactive profile with technical autonomy
  • **Preferred qualifications**
  • Postgraduate degree or specialization in Cybersecurity
  • Certifications (a plus):
  • Akamai
  • Security+
  • CEH
  • GIAC
  • Technical English for reading documentation and occasional interaction with vendors
