About the role
- Serve as the IT lead for domains that support the Retail business: store operations, ERP, payments, inventory and logistics.
- Participate in defining and implementating ERP, TMS, WMS and OMS solutions — involving commercial technologies and/or in-house developments — ensuring integration with legacy systems.
- Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems, payment methods, and in-store customer journeys.
- Promote adoption of new technologies by evaluating modern, efficient, flexible and scalable solutions for the supported domains.
- Gather requirements with business areas, write user stories and follow the full development lifecycle.
- Lead technical teams and ensure delivery of solutions defined in partnership with the business team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate functional requirements into clear technical requirements.
- Guide architecture and design decisions, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and high-performing.
- Create detailed development plans, including timelines, resources and budget — ensuring deliveries on time and within budget.
- Oversee software factory operations and technology partners, including RFPs, solution evaluation, contract management, team allocation and performance monitoring.
Requirements
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in technology-related fields is a plus.
- Experience in software development, preferably in the Retail sector.
- Strong technical background in supply chain tools and processes (WMS, TMS, OMS, ERP).
- Knowledge of major market solutions such as SAP, Oracle, Linx Omni, Manhattan and others.
- Experience with agile methodologies such as SAFe, Agile, Scrum and iterative management practices.
- Knowledge of SRE to support data-driven strategic decisions and proactive monitoring.
