About the role

  • Ensure the implementation of projects, requests, products and services within expected deadlines and quality standards.
  • Formalize and provide visibility to management on project-related topics and diagnose deviations in the process.
  • Correct deviations or request corrections from the responsible areas.
  • Lead and execute integrated management of high-complexity projects.
  • Perform activities related to planning, design and implementation of systems.
  • Monitor financial (budget) and contractual activities with suppliers.
  • Prepare a detailed system implementation plan together with internal teams and suppliers, identifying all required activities, deadlines and responsible parties. Map impacts, requirements and prerequisites prior to the start of activities.
  • Lead cost and schedule estimates for projects.
  • Negotiate deliverables with clients (business stakeholders) and suppliers.
  • Actively work to resolve problems, open issues and impediments that may put the project schedule at risk.
  • Produce detailed reports on the physical status of project and implementation activities, identifying potential risks and schedule delays.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams—local and remote, internal and supplier teams.
  • Monitor post-production implementation and follow up on incidents.
  • Participate in and represent the area in committees and working groups.
  • Comply with requirements for maintaining the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and participate in Occupational Health and Safety programs.
  • Be familiar with Telefónica's Environmental Policy and apply it in daily activities to ensure the company’s environmental management best practices.

Requirements

  • University degree completed (Engineering or IT preferred)
  • Specialization or certification in Project Management (PMI, PMBOK, Agile methodologies, etc.)
  • Proven experience in managing high-complexity projects (planning, implementation, scope, communication, risk management, budgeting and scheduling)
  • Prior leadership of multidisciplinary teams, both internal and third-party, with onsite and remote allocation
  • Excellent knowledge of management and control tools (Microsoft Project, PPM, JIRA) and presentation tools (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Advanced English comprehension and communication skills
