About the role

  • Develop and maintain the organization’s Marketing Plan to include messaging to target audiences, tailoring messaging for various mediums (social media)
  • Develop and maintain an electronic communications calendar, building a library of stock messages that can be distributed via social and digital platforms
  • Develop and optimize marketing content and social media campaigns, within the limits of departmental and institutional policies, to enhance the user experience and improve efficiencies in student enrollment, retention, and community engagement
  • Test, analyze, and suggest improvements to marketing campaigns on an ongoing basis
  • Track and report all marketing analytics, including social media, email, targeted marketing campaigns
  • Translate complex strategies, ideas, and strategic objectives into actionable digital marketing campaigns
  • Create professional and engaging graphics to support digital marketing efforts
  • Support web content management and updates, applying working knowledge of HTML and CSS to ensure functionality, accessibility, and accuracy, and to operationalize a structured content review cycle
  • Use project management tools and documentation platforms to streamline marketing and web content workflows and coordinate team activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience with communications, social media, and digital marketing
  • Proficiency in social media management platforms, including Meta for Business, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Proficiency in graphic design using the Adobe Creative Cloud or similar tools
  • Experience with social media and email messaging development
  • Experience with marketing automation utilizing Salesforce or another CRM platform
  • Experience deploying communications campaigns via SMS
  • Experience with Salesforce, MailChimp, GovDelivery, or similar email marketing platforms
  • Experience with Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, and similar social media management platforms
  • Experience with project management and documentation platforms, including Jira, Trello, Microsoft Planner, or similar
  • Demonstrated knowledge of front-end web and email development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; knowledge of AMPscript preferred but not required
  • Ability to manage and update complex communication plans across multiple media types
  • Experience working with government or military digital marketing campaigns preferred
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance or DoW background investigation
