About the role

  • To provide accounting services to a large spectrum of clients, acting as the first point of contact for client queries
  • Liaising with other teams/ team members
  • Maintain/building client relationships ensuring high client service levels are maintained.
  • Key client responsibility for assigned engagements acting as point of contact and taking responsibility for ensuring client deliverables and operational procedures/controls are managed effectively and kept up to date;
  • Pro-actively ensure work is completed accurately within agreed timeframes and all tasks are appropriately resourced and managed.
  • Review of output from assigned team members, ensuring this is completed to a high standard and within prescribed deadlines;
  • Ability to assist in preparation of such output which includes but is not limited to: monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, draft statutory financial statements & consolidated financial statements in line with FRS 102 & IFRS; oversight, management and support on deliverables, ensuring reporting deadlines are met as scheduled and liaising directly with auditors and other advisors/service providers as required;
  • Indirect tax compliance i.e. VAT compliance
  • Assistance with commercial aspects of winning new business and the onboarding /advisory of same helping new businesses starting up in Ireland and/or liaising with Vistra colleagues across the World with other client international expansion opportunities.

Requirements

  • 2 + years PQE preferred
  • Prior experience in an accounting practice is preferred
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant
  • Minimum 2.2 degree from a recognised university
  • Demonstrates a strong client services ethos, delivering and promoting exceptional service to clients
  • Communicates in an effective, timely and professional manner, with excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks and deadlines
  • Highly organised with an eye for detail
  • Results oriented, making and meeting commitments
  • Proactive, self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative
  • Positive approach to teamwork
  • Analytical mindset with ability to identify opportunities for leaner, consistent processes which promote accurate data capture
  • Knowledge of indirect & direct tax compliance and corporate filing deadlines/ requirements
  • Proficient on all Microsoft applications and other accounting software (e.g. Bright Accounts Production, Xero, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage etc.)
