Accountant

• Prepare and post recurring and ad hoc journal entries, ensuring accuracy, appropriate documentation, and alignment with company policy and accounting standards.
• Own and maintain assigned balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of variances and strong supporting documentation.
• Review and provide feedback on reconciliations prepared by staff accountants, helping ensure consistency and adherence to internal standards.
• Lead assigned responsibilities during the monthly close cycle, including ledger updates, schedule preparation, variance analysis, and coordination with stakeholders to meet internal deadlines.
• Analyze account activity and trends to flag irregularities, recommend corrections, and support variance explanations for internal and external reporting.
• Maintain a clear audit trail for all assigned work, support internal and external audit requests, and contribute to process documentation.
• Work with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary documentation, clarify variances, and improve reconciliation processes.
• Recommend and support initiatives to improve accuracy, efficiency, and automation of expense-related accounting workflows.
• Mentor, train, and coach staff accountants or other colleagues.
• Perform additional higher-level assignments as requested in support of the Finance department and company objectives.
