About the role
- As a Business Analyst you'll focus on translating customer and business requirements into a software design that fits within the Vista framework and helps to shape the future of our technical evolution.
- **What you’ll be doing**
- - Directly involved in scoping, requirements gathering, gap analysis and functional design, your collaborative and consultative approach is required to ensure that the proposed design has the buy-in of stakeholders at all levels across the business.
- - Working alongside the product team and account managers, you’ll uncover both functional and non-functional requirements, working closely with engineering squads, architects, SMEs, UX designers, and other key stakeholders, to design fit-for purpose solutions.
- - An understanding of both the end-user and the technical perspective is critical.
Requirements
- **About you**
- - You'll be proficient in effectively and concisely communicating requirements to the level of technical details required by developers and testers
- - Proven ability to analyse business-related functions and existing software, draft functional requirements, design specifications or user stories so development teams are able to build and deliver the best solution for our customers
- - Demonstrate creative thinking and a willingness to support new or improved approaches to solving business problems
- - Strong critical thinking, decision making and problem solving / analytical skills
- - Strong stakeholder engagement skills, confidence in visual storytelling, planning and running workshops
- - Familiar with SaaS operational processes, and an understanding of APIs and Cloud platforms would be highly beneficial
- - Ability to be the voice and champion for user needs along with balancing recommendations with business needs
- - Strong collaboration skills alongside effective, engaging and influencing communication skills
- - Ability to develop and maintain good professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- - Proven, relevant experience in the software industry
- - An understanding of application programming, database and system design
- - Understanding of Agile values and principles & experience working within Agile development teams
- - Experience using various Business Analysis tools and techniques
