About the role
- Assist the Regional Director in overseeing the day-to-day operational functions for the clinic
- Provide leadership, guidance, and expertise to all staff members
- Manage daily clinical operations by reviewing schedules, assigning clinical space, and monitoring clinic flow
- Enhance and improve patient experience by investigating complaints and contacting patients for satisfaction resolutions
- Provide training and guidance to clinical staff and oversee performance reviews
- Review reports to determine clinic needs and verify clinic workflows
- Oversee clinical equipment maintenance and coordinate maintenance program for timely repairs
- Manage day-to-day operations of the practice and supervise physicians and staff following company policies
- Ensure highest degree of customer service and patient quality care
- Ensure compliance with standard medical practice to manage and minimize risk
- Resolve medical-administrative problems and maintain open communication with staff
- Maintain professional affiliations and professional development
- Develop and maintain rapport and positive relationships with providers
- Meet operational goals set by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field OR 7 or more years of experience managing in a healthcare setting
- 5 or more years of experience managing in a healthcare setting if Bachelor's degree held
- Proven experience with effective hiring and motivating and managing a team
- Strong staff relations skills
- Experience with managing financial aspects of a healthcare clinic
- Ophthalmology or optometric management experience is a PLUS
- Certified Ophthalmic Technician licensure or another medical licensure preferred
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
- Leadership qualities, diplomacy, discretion, ability to enforce difficult positions
- Excellent communication, public speaking skills, and exceptional interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite; in particular Excel
