We are seeking a Contract Physician Recruitment Specialist to support our recruitment team during a peak hiring period. This temporary role will focus on physician sourcing, outreach, event coordination, and residency program engagement.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-oriented, and able to quickly adapt to new processes and systems.
This is a contract/temporary position with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance.
Responsibilities include Candidate Outreach & Engagement: identify and reach out to physician candidates through job boards, social media, and referrals; build initial relationships with residents, fellows, and practicing physicians to support pipeline development; maintain candidate records and track outreach efforts using recruitment platforms and systems.
Residency Program Engagement: help maintain partnerships with residency and fellowship programs; coordinate participation in career fairs, speaking events, and networking opportunities at training institutions; support communication with residents and fellows interested in learning more about VIP.
Event Coordination & Recruitment Support: assist with planning and execution of recruitment events, including dinners, conferences, and on-site visits; coordinate logistics, invitations, and follow-ups for recruitment events; collaborate with marketing to ensure events are well-promoted and aligned with branding.
Recruitment Marketing & Branding Support: work with the recruitment and marketing teams to post jobs and share content across digital platforms; help maintain VIP’s visibility on industry job boards, LinkedIn, and other physician-facing channels; contribute ideas for social media content and employer branding initiatives.
Administrative & Team Support: support the recruitment team with sourcing and pipeline building; help recruiters with scheduling, communication, and candidate coordination; assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to recruitment efforts; learn and apply best practices in physician recruitment, healthcare workforce trends, and candidate experience.
Requirements
3 years of experience in physician recruiting or physician sourcing.
Experience with Ophthalmology is highly preferred!
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Familiarity with social media, job boards, and applicant tracking systems (ATS); iCIMS is a plus.
