About the role

  • Responsible for the implementation of translation assets for eLearning course library
  • Balances multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Locates and filters translation/proofreader/voiceover resources
  • Communicates with team and all vendors or contractors as needed
  • Manages files from translation through internal review to final delivery
  • Proofs and edits projects for completeness, formatting accuracy, and linguistic quality
  • Localizes content per department standards
  • Applies translations and voiceover to web-based courses utilizing various software

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in the translation industry (or similar media-based industry)
  • Subject matter expertise in localization tools and processes
  • Translation Memory/CAT Tools knowledge preferred (We use WordFast)
  • Knowledge of translation industry standards and best practices preferred but not required
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects involving external resources
  • Strong proofreading skills and thorough knowledge of quality control a must
  • eLearning experience preferred
  • Experience with XML, HTML, CSS, and sound/voiceover editing software preferred
  • Ability to read or write a second language preferred
