About the role
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and critical IT systems
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, Exchange, O365
- Monitor system performance and availability
- Work with virtualization platforms and manage storage solutions
- Handle backup & disaster recovery solutions
- Automate tasks using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible
- Use monitoring tools and implement configuration management and patching strategies
- Apply system hardening and manage access controls/IAM
- Ensure compliance with ISO27001, GDPR and other frameworks
- Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, and Network Engineers and participate in migrations
Requirements
- Experience in Linux/Windows server administration
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, VPN)
- Familiarity with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible)
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, Citrix, KVM)
- Experience with storage solutions (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS)
- Backup & disaster recovery experience (Veeam, Commvault, Azure Backup, AWS Backup)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, SolarWinds)
- Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, Exchange, O365
- Understanding of system hardening, IAM, compliance (ISO27001, GDPR)
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) - preferred
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) - preferred
- DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC) - preferred
- Certifications like MCSA, MCSE, RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Server+, VMware VCP, Azure/AWS Associate are a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields
- Applicants must hold a valid EU work permit
