About the role

  • Provide strategic design management for Power Transmission and Distribution projects
  • Lead, manage, mentor and develop a team of Design Managers, Assistant Design Managers and Graduates
  • Coordinate with relevant parties within Omexom
  • Manage the design change process to minimise cost impact and inform the QS of potential changes
  • Ensure compliance with Omexom Governance and customer requirements

Requirements

  • Experience in the Power industry with relevant qualifications (Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or similar)
  • Proven track record in managing and leading teams
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Good technical grounding, experience and engineering delivery
  • Project leadership at a management level, delivering a range of projects from Standard to Complex projects
  • Experience of working in the UK HV Networks sector and within highly regulated industries
  • Experienced in the recruitment and development of talent within the business, including mentoring, stretch and challenge for junior team members.
