About the role
- Provide day-to-day management of the project, including organizing and attending meetings and documenting meeting outcomes
- Collate inputs from provincial teams and integrate them into the EAF learning framework and other externally facing documentation
- Prepare briefing materials for monthly updates with the funder and biweekly updates with technical partners
- Track timeline and deliverables for all SOWs, including cost-effectiveness analysis, gender, provincial coordination
- Communicate with internal stakeholders within VillageReach’s DRC office and globally and support resolution of challenges
- Draft and finalize PowerPoint presentations and documents in English for funders and technical partners
- Coordinate with DRC staff in Tshopo and Haut Katanga to populate the learning framework and capture key learnings
- Document and capture how EAF is functioning in DRC and synthesize lessons learned to inform Gavi strategy inputs
- Lead internal discussions with DRC staff to reflect on functioning of zero-dose interventions and develop support plans
- Provide technical assistance to Mashako Plan Steering Committee: analyze gender-disaggregated immunization data, consolidate monthly performance indicators, monitor implementation of action points
- Support evaluation of implementation of recommendations from EAF and ZD interventions and monitor outputs and outcomes to provide feedback
- Support planning and organization of ICC meetings and coordinate with technical partners for Gavi engagements
- Ensure DRC experience is visible to relevant audiences and work with communications to create case studies and media engagement
- Perform other tasks as needed
Requirements
- This position directly supervises up to 3 employees
- Must have a degree in public health, public policy or other relevant fields
- At least 5 years’ experience in immunization and public health, particularly program management
- Experience working in strategy and ability to engage in strategic discussions
- Proven success working with all levels of staff in a multicultural environment
- Ability to work across time zones with teams in Seattle, DRC and Geneva
- Prior experience documenting health program processes, including immunization and/or community engagement
- Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and reliable follow-through, with outstanding attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of the French language in reading, writing and oral communication
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a must
- Comply with VillageReach’s COVID-19 vaccination policy for in-person work or travel
- Established cultural competency in partnering with racial, cultural and linguistically diverse groups
- Demonstrated understanding of challenges working in rural, underserved and low-income contexts; experience living/working in low-income country a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
