Provide technical assistance to targeted health zones in Haut-Katanga, Haut-Lomami, Lualaba and Tanganyika for planning, coordination and monitoring of vaccination program implementation.
Support Health Zone Management Teams in campaign planning, micro-planning, timelines, stakeholder mapping, inventory/logistics planning, training coordination, communication plans and budgeting.
Ensure national MR vaccine introduction and catch-up campaign guidelines are translated and implemented at the local level.
Participate in technical coordination meetings, program evaluations, and contribute to logistics recovery plans and post-campaign integration into routine immunization.
Monitor implementation of recovery plans, prepare sitreps and reports, update dashboards for campaign preparation and MR vaccine introduction.
Conduct supportive supervision of vaccination teams and ensure daily monitoring of activities, including AEFI management and prompt reporting of suspected measles/rubella cases.
Organize post-campaign evaluations and participate in convenience monitoring during campaigns.
Collaborate with community leaders, sectors (Education, Agriculture, fisheries, interior, hydraulics), schools and local media for social mobilization and ICP implementation.
Ensure vulnerable and hard-to-reach groups are considered and contribute to mapping Zero Dose and Under-Vaccinated Children.
Support coordination of vaccine and consumable distribution to last-mile, ensure cold chain functioning and maintenance, and contribute to biomedical waste and equipment contingency planning.
Prepare timely technical updates, field visit reports and final reports summarizing findings, lessons learned and recommendations.
Requirements
Postgraduate degree in public health, field epidemiology, nursing, medicine or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in implementing vaccination programs, preferably with experience in Supplementary Immunization Activities (SIAs).
Experience supporting polio, measles, yellow fever or other vaccine campaigns at the national or subnational level.
Knowledge of campaign guidelines and monitoring frameworks.
Strong skills in training, coordination, data analysis and report writing.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural environments.
Proficiency in computer tools, particularly Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SMT, DHIS 2).
Fluency in Swahili and French; fluency in English is an asset.
