About the role
- Lead, oversee, coach, mentor and provide guidance to a team of field medical personnel
- Recruit, develop and retain key talent, building an organization that reflects a high performing, diverse and inclusive workforce
- Accountable for the direction and execution of strategic medical objectives and territory plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to enhance team effectiveness
- Maintain clinical knowledge of the HIV therapeutic area and broad market knowledge
- Ensure the team has a robust interface with external experts and healthcare professionals
- Analyze and leverage scientific and performance data to provide actionable insights
- Ensure team is well-trained with the latest scientific information and core industry compliance standards
- Lead MSL support of ViiV US sponsored and supported research in specific region
Requirements
- Advanced degree in medical OR health sciences OR clinical discipline (MD, DO, PharmD, NP, PA)
- 10 plus years of pharmaceutical experience in medical affairs, including 5 plus years of field medical experience
- Matrix leadership experience
- People Management experience
- Experience managing Key Stakeholders
- Experience with regulatory requirements
- Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
- Valid Driver's License
