About the role

  • Coordinating and providing expert advice to develop, maintain, and support working relationships with Registered Aboriginal Parties and Aboriginal stakeholders.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert guiding colleagues on culturally appropriate engagement approaches.
  • Supporting integrated transport planning and decision making across regional strategies.
  • Building and maintaining respectful partnerships within the Gippsland region.
  • Coordinating regional delivery of actions in cultural safety plans and self-determination plans.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Aboriginal studies, public policy, community development, or related discipline are desirable.
  • Experience working in or alongside Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations or Traditional Owner groups is preferred.
  • Driver’s License.
