About the role
- Leads and manages strategy-driven market research projects in accordance with internal compliance policies and best practices.
- Responsible for ensuring that interpretation of primary market research is generating meaningful, actionable and differentiating insights.
- Has an in-depth understanding of the brand/molecule/therapeutic area and consolidates insights from primary market research, forecasting, analytics, and competitive intelligence into insights and recommendations.
- Develops and provides analysis to support strategic product planning, which includes situational analysis for each brand, market research necessary for developing and testing each product's positioning, promotional concepts and messaging.
- Collaborates with product teams to create and manage budget for primary market research projects.
- Keeps abreast with market developments and competitors.
- Proactively seeks out and evaluates new data sources, tools, and research partners that can enhance customer insights and ability to improve overall effectiveness of the marketing plan.
- Manage research vendors, resources.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Insight-driven qualitative and quantitative market research project scoping and management is preferred.
- A master's degree (or equivalent) is also preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
- Known subject matter expert for quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Advanced knowledge about study design and able to assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process.
- Recognized expertise on connecting, integrating and synthesizing analysis and data into a meaningful ‘so what’ to drive concrete strategic recommendations and enable commercial decision making.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with senior business leaders and cross-functional business partners.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to develop and effectively present succinct, compelling reviews of independently developed analyses infused with insight and business implications/actions to be considered.
- Strong organizational skills and time management; ability to manage a diverse range of simultaneous projects.
