About the role
- Plans, designs, develops, facilitates, and evaluates training programs aligned to designated therapeutic area and selling skills
- Applies instructional design methodology, adult learning principles, and project management expertise when planning, developing, and facilitating initial and continuous learning curricula
- Conducts regular needs assessments to develop new programs and to continuously improve existing training programs, resources, and frameworks
- Stays current on industry trends to inform new program delivery and design through technology, innovation, and cutting-edge approaches
- Independently manages vendor or third-party relationships in the development of training programs and curricula, including budget and contract oversight
- Cultivates strong working relationships and collaborates closely with stakeholders at all levels, including sales leadership, compliance, legal, marketing, and operations teams
- Serves as a leader in maintaining and applying current understanding of the Viatris business and regulatory environment, products, customers, sales opportunities, and challenges
- Functions as a respected member of PRC by coordinating and managing projects and assets from development to completion
- Offers or leads sales training support across business units for product launches, training program execution, and sales meetings
- Performs other duties as directed by the Sr. Director/ Head, North America Sales Training
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotech industry
- Previous corporate training or leadership development experience required
- Advanced working knowledge of adult learning principles, the ADDIE model and project management techniques required
- Knowledge of blended learning methods, including learning management system (LMS), digital engagement platforms and distance learning
- Familiarity with account management structures and business skills
- Strong facilitation skills, presentation skills, and excellent written communication required
- Ability to apply metrics and track key performance indicators to facilitate evidence-based learning strategies
- Ability to be agile while managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
- Travel required (up to 40%) for live training events
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English
