About the role

  • Design, implementation and continuous development of the ESG strategy in close collaboration with executive management
  • Support of operational business units in identifying and implementing sustainability and ESG projects
  • Analysis and implementation of group-wide requirements for reporting obligations related to sustainability activities
  • Participation in planning, preparation and coordination of audits, including supporting operational business units in fulfilling reporting and documentation obligations
  • Conducting life cycle assessments, carbon footprint calculations and KPI determination
  • Promoting employee awareness through targeted measures and motivating staff to develop project proposals
  • Supporting active employee participation in internal company sustainability competitions

Requirements

  • Completed degree with a focus on sustainability or ESG management, or comparable qualification
  • Practical experience in sustainability management in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 50001 or EMAS
  • Proactive approach to engaging with new projects and committed implementation of resulting measures
  • Pragmatic, analytical and results-oriented working style
  • Passion for sustainability, confident presence, strong communication skills and interest in working in intercultural teams
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, fluent German and very good English skills
