About the role
- Deputise for the Finance Director and support/manage the Finance Team
- Produce accurate monthly consolidated accounts for UK, UAE, Spain and Portugal
- Lead month-end processes including journals, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
- Deliver monthly revenue analysis with commentary and present Board packs, KPIs and financial commentary
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
- Prepare and present cashflow forecasts and support liquidity optimisation
- Oversee monthly payroll runs and approve supplier and bank payment runs
- Lead annual audits, prepare statutory accounts and manage external auditor relationships
- Manage group regulatory reporting, tax compliance and transfer pricing monitoring
- Implement and maintain financial controls, drive process improvements and lead systems/automation projects
- Conduct client credit analysis and support credit exposure decisions
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles and provide strategic financial insight to senior management and the Board
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Significant post-qualification experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidations and accounting standards
- Previous experience in financial services or multi-entity group (highly desirable)
- Excellent technical accounting skills (hands-on and oversight)
- Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy with ability to meet deadlines
- Confident communicator for senior stakeholders
- Proactive mindset focused on process improvement and controls
