About the role

  • Lead continuous improvement at the factory through proper quality initiatives, prevention and risk management
  • Influence factory QMS through close working relationships with key vendor and factory quality personnel
  • Accountable for delivering consistently high-quality product as measured through all QM KPIs/Metrics
  • Act as a coach and mentor for VF QA team and all factory QA
  • Evaluate new vendors to identify factory quality set up, technical support, and product capability & production capacity
  • Support and monitor factory accredited lab testing SOP against Brand standards and Industrial/Country requirements
  • Support conducting Factory Process Audit and coaching QE/QA and FKR on conducting it
  • Manage and appropriately escalate risks, issues and points of concern to Regional Manager
  • Foster a strong culture of continuous improvement
  • Review ways of working, process alignment and team capabilities to optimize efficiencies
  • Engage with teams at brand, vendor and regional cross functional teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Quality Management / Logistics / Mathematics
  • Certified Quality Engineer / Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent qualification) recommended
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skill
  • Familiar with 5S / ISO 9001 / 8D problem solving
  • Knowledge in SPC, CPK and Six Sigma disciplines, FMEA would be advantageous
  • Sewing, Construction and Factory Operations Knowledge
