About the role
- Write, debug, maintain and test products.
- Work with other stakeholders to complete the work.
- Review the work of less experienced developers and guide them.
- Investigate trends and technologies in database-related areas.
- Support integration to 3rd party systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience of software development on Oracle databases.
- Strong knowledge of PL/SQL.
- Use of JSON data structures including manipulation and transformation with focus on data exchange with external systems via RESTful APIs.
- Experience of Oracle REST Data Services and OCI.
- Able to build a close relationship with other development teams.
- Working knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Strong ability to document development including database design, application design and ongoing documentation of changes and modifications.
- Deep understanding about performance and scalability implications in the development process and experience with performance monitoring tools.
- Ability to review code written by others and provide feedback and recommendations to follow coding guideline.
- Able to provide estimates and raise concerns about deadlines / timescales.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to continuously changing technology.
- Be able to design considering operational costs.
- Ability to take the ownership of a business-critical area and provide feedback and recommendations to analysts and architects for the implementation of new features.
