About the role

  • Support management of the Whistleblower hotline and policy; collaborate with cross-functional teams to support implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures for hotline administration; support the compilation of quarterly reporting and prepare corresponding presentations for the General Counsel / Board of Directors
  • Support the incident team in conducting and tracking internal investigations, audits, and remediation efforts.
  • Support the monitoring and tracking of whistleblower reports, ensuring reporting logs are accurate and up to date.
  • Support the compliance training program by assisting the implementation of organization-wide compliance training initiatives, working with Subject Matter Experts to review and update compliance courses, work with translation specialists to translate the trainings and communications for employees located outside of the United States, rollout and implement communications plans, assist in developing communications about the trainings and program, prepare and develop ongoing status reports, support the administrative oversight of compliance training, and maintain training databases including training materials, calendar of training, completion rates, and attendance records.
  • Support conflicts of interest disclosures by reviewing disclosures, identifying and assessing conflicts, maintaining detailed records of all conflicts of interests and their resolutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and ethical standards, conducting research, review, and understanding relevant regulations and compliance requirements, and preparing reports for stakeholders.
  • Support for the management of the document management and retention program, policies, and procedures for the secure retention and disposition of company information assets in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain compliance data and reporting dashboards that enable trend analysis, monitor program performance, and support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement on platforms such as Excel and PowerBI.
  • Support our Corporate Compliance Governance team in implementing and managing small and large-scale compliance programs and initiatives that address Verisk’s strategic compliance needs, including programmatic controls and safeguards.
  • Actively support the identification, prioritization, and pursuit of opportunities to enhance Verisk’s compliance management processes and introduce approaches and solutions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Be an advocate for compliance best practices and the point of contact for stakeholders from departments throughout the company; collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing due diligence questionnaires, vendor assessments, complaints, and security documentation from clients and partners.
  • Support the coordination, development, and maintenance of compliance-related documentation, such as policies, standards, procedures, methodologies, and internal communications.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain a repository of compliance materials and coordinate subject matter expert (SME) involvement to complete responses.
  • Monitor internal compliance communication channels and triage or escalate issues to legal personnel, as appropriate.
  • Conduct internet research on various compliance topics.
  • Support the scheduling and administration of quarterly Compliance Council meetings, including the agenda and materials presented at the meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in compliance field or equivalent, with demonstrated ability in international compliance, regulatory, risk management, government relations, and training and education, preferably at a large, global organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in supporting hotline management and metrics/reporting, including preparing presentations for senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in supporting the administration of enterprise-wide compliance training and training initiatives.
  • Proficiency in records management principles, operations, policies and compliance requirements, with the ability to adapt them to evolving technologies and practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • An understanding of policy and procedure design and administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PowerBI.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization and across all Business Units and departments.
