Work closely with CTO to understand his technical direction and decisions, instruct and assist developers with them and how to implement
Build and oversee Shared Service DevOps Team, that supports all systems under CTO, including Gateway, BINS, Datahub and more
Cost Management - work with VP of DevOps to manage Cloud Spend. Identify and implement opportunities for AWS Cost Savings. Report on current spend and explain cost spikes. Manage and request Reserved instance purchases and renewals. Use tools like Kubecost, Kubex and AWS CUR to analyze and optimize container (EKS) spend. Manage cost and usage of 3rd party tools such as New Relic, Octopus, PagerDuty and more. Manage usage to stay within licenses limits and ensure that costs are kept under control.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.
9+ years of proven experience of technical experience in any hands on role, such as Developer, Quality Assurance, Architect, DevOps or Technical Manager.
5+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) – EC2, S3, CloudFormation, CLI, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDb
Mastery of multiple monitoring tools and how to mine them for advanced data
Experienced with new automation tools and how to introduce them into our environment in a non-disruptive manner
Expert in: Bash, Powershell, Python, XML, Web concepts such as REST APIs and SPA, HTTP Get and Post
Demonstrated mastery of Development tools and methodologies, such as Firewall concepts, network connectivity, XML config files, Rest API calls, HTTP Headers and Response Codes
Superior experience (and demonstrated ability to assist others) with Continuous Integration/Deployment Technologies: Atlassian Bamboo, Octopus Deploy, MSBuild, NUnit, GIT, Maven, Docker.
Must have passion for technology and focused on automation.
Quick learner and excellent teacher. Can provide oversight and guidance to other team members and work independently to come up with well architected solutions to system problems.
