About the role

- Remote, contract-to-permanent opportunity.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Manage and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless connectivity across multiple sites.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve issues.
- Implement and enforce network security best practices, including access control, patch management, and monitoring tools.
- Support server and storage environments as they relate to network connectivity and performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support business operations and technology projects.
- Maintain documentation for network architecture, procedures, and configurations.
- Provide tier-1/2 support for escalated network-related incidents and service requests.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls and Ubiquiti networking equipment (desired)
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols.
- Experience managing network security policies, firewall rules, and intrusion prevention/detection systems.
- Familiarity with monitoring and management tools for performance and security.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
