Strategically applying scientific and business expertise relevant to therapeutic areas, including products, disease state management and the competitive landscape; including development, review, and maintenance of scientific medical information content and escalated inquiries in collaboration with Medical Affairs and cross functional partners as required.
Proactively leading, coordinating with, or providing oversight of the call center/contractors and/or respond to medical information inquiries (including escalations from the call center) from Health Care Providers.
Demonstrated proficiency in medical writing, ability to correctly understand, interpret, and accurately communicate scientific data and statistical analyses.
Applying scientific expertise consistent with the regulatory/compliance landscape to deliver high quality medical information content.
Conducts advance literature searches for education, internal company use, and incorporation into medical information letters.
Leverage technology and innovation to optimize the delivery of medical information, including digital platforms and AI tools.
Analyzing, identifying, and reporting trends in scientific insights (using medical inquiries) to Medical Affairs stakeholders, cross functional partners and evaluate the need to develop or update medical information content.
Delivering accurate, focused and scientifically balanced clinical and scientific information exchange with Health Care Providers that support the appropriate use of Vera’s marketed and investigational products.
Serve as the Medical information reviewer for the medical and commercial review committees.
Working cross functionally with the broader organization to develop/update medical information content inclusive of SRLs, FAQs, Guidelines & Compendia submissions, dossier, etc..
Assisting with managing the call center and contractors including training, overseeing the fulfillment of unsolicited inquiries, development of responses, QA of completed inquiries etc..
Travel as needed for Medical Information booth coverage at congresses and ad hoc meetings.
Requirements
Advanced degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D. preferred; MD, NP/PA), or equivalent clinical experience with 10+ years in pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably in drug information delivery.
Demonstrated experience in Medical/Drug information communication and management with a customer focus as well as continuous improvement of processes/assets.
Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally at the franchise level. Exhibits flexibility in working collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation), analytical and interpersonal skills.
Familiar with all applicable regulations, and industry standards as related to Medical Information, promotion, and pharmaceutical industry interactions with healthcare providers; demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge to make judgement calls on medical information needs, delivery, process, and vendor relations.
Capable of self-directed learning and having a growth mindset.
Leadership experience in leading projects and teams.
Rare disease, nephrology, and/or immunology experience preferred but not required.
