About the role
- Your sales cycle: You take ownership of leads from marketing, partner networks, or the SDR team, deepen their qualification in discovery calls, conduct demos and negotiations, close contracts, manage renewals, and expand business with SMEs and scale-ups across the DACH region (and beyond).
- Full account responsibility: You are responsible not only for acquiring new customers but also for their ongoing development. This means you handle all sales-related activities for the companies you acquire.
- Contract ownership & stakeholder management: You own the entire contracting process and proactively manage all relevant stakeholders (e.g., business units, IT, procurement). You conduct structured contract negotiations through to closure and ensure requirements, timing, scalability, and compliance are met.
- Pipeline management & forecasting: You maintain the CRM meticulously and report regularly on your KPIs.
- Feedback loop: You work closely with the Customer Success team and pass customer insights back to Product Management—sharing signals and joint learnings to drive growth.
- Sales enablement: You share best practices and help build a high-performing sales organization. At the same time, you actively shape our go-to-market strategy and have the opportunity to grow with the team and take on increasing responsibility.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 4–5 years of experience in B2B software sales with a proven track record of winning new customers and expanding existing accounts.
- You master the full sales cycle and are strongly KPI-oriented with rigorous CRM management.
- Domain knowledge: You have a strong affinity for artificial intelligence—particularly autonomous AI systems—and a solid understanding of product management or related disciplines (e.g., R&D, innovation management).
- You understand typical challenges, decision-making logic, and processes in product management and translate them into compelling value and ROI arguments.
- Communication: You are fluent in German and English and able to communicate technical content clearly and persuasively to non-technical decision-makers.
- Mindset: You bring a true startup mindset—hands-on, self-driven, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing, and continuously evolving environment.
- Bonus: Experience (or network) in (sales) product management and industry knowledge in forward-looking sectors such as Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Tech, or Smart Systems.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree or relevant vocational training is a plus but not required.
