Project Manager

• Leads and manages the project implementation lifecycle to deliver multiple projects and initiatives.
• Delivers effective, accurate, and consistent communication to project teams, management, external clients, and vendors.
• Leads project teams.
• Facilitates and leads project resources through the work breakdown process to define tasks, durations, effort, and dependencies, establishing a solid implementation schedule.
• Partners with technology leaders to understand interdependencies and lead time to identify project resources and develop a comprehensive schedule.

• Prepare and distribute project reports and communications; communicate with the technology team, project sponsors, stakeholders, functional area managers, and/or consultants regarding the status of specific tasks.
• Ensure various integration elements of assigned projects are properly coordinated, including: project plan development, project plan execution, and overall change control; Develop highly technical, detailed project plan including all work required to complete both internal and client-facing projects.
• Act as the primary liaison and manage expectations of key sponsors and client executive staff related to timing, functionality, and business objectives needed to support a successful go-live.
• Assume responsibility, manage conflict within the group, and provide final approval for the entire project on behalf of all stakeholders; Troubleshoot project issues and escalate them to upper management if necessary.
• Leads lesson learned exercises and participates in root cause analysis discussions.
• Ensure that project information is communicated promptly through communication planning, information distribution, performance reporting, and administrative closure.
• Collaborate effectively with other project managers, various subcontracting partners, external consulting organizations, customer resources, contractors, and other 3rd party providers, ensuring the quality standards for the project are met.
• Facilitate project meetings, including project kick-off and specification meetings.
• Work in a consultative role with senior client management, including the CEO and project teams, to ensure business requirements are met.
• Travel to client locations to meet and discuss specifications, business objectives, and project options; facilitate meetings with key client personnel, including IT, for network connectivity and file mapping.
• Serve as a mentor for other Operational Services staff related to project management methodologies and best practices.
• Maintain interaction with credit unions, MasterCard, VISA, and other processors, software vendors, and ATM networks for the purpose of coordinating products/projects.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the payment processing card industry, card processing systems and subsystems, and/or related in-house applications, and a primary understanding of system parameters, regional ATM networks.

Senior Client Delivery Project Manager – New & Existing Business

Growth Marketing

• This position represents, supports, and develops relationships between Velera and executive management at assigned credit unions for all aspects of Velera at an enterprise level.
• Develop, maintain, and execute sales strategies supporting assigned credit unions, and will negotiate contracts and sell Velera products and services.
• Foster in-depth and productive relationships at both the credit union and Velera departments, and will promote the use of Velera products and services.
• Monitor and communicate value of Velera products/solutions, and demonstrate the value of the Velera partnership.

Client Growth Executive – II

Communications

• Writing across multiple formats: Long-form content such as blogs, white papers and thought leadership pieces requiring research and collaboration with subject matter experts
• Short-form content such as social media posts, operational communications, promotional copy and press releases
• Research industry topics and leverage insights to support content development

Client Delivery Project Manager, Credit & Debit

Risk

• Strengthen top financial institution relationships by identifying and managing financial institution fraud/risk program needs, providing expert servicing oversight and accountability for financial institution critical initiatives and ensuring fraud and risk day to day servicing requests and needs are met.
• Provide portfolio consulting on fraud and risk mitigation strategies, identify ongoing process improvements and operational gaps with recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of all fraud and risk applications and systems both internal to Velera and external (within financial institutions and industry).
• Effectively develop and leverage partnerships with all Velera business units to ensure client initiatives, projects and business as usual issues and requests are resolved expeditiously to the client’s satisfaction and with risk management consulting.
• Conduct root cause analyses and recommend steps to remediate risks based upon findings from research. Communicate those findings and recommendations at all levels with financial institution operational staff and executives as well as internal support teams. Ensure resolution and execution related to those plans/findings.
• Conduct investigations of complex cross-channel fraud events or suspicious activity via detailed analysis of daily business records and ad-hoc risk assessments. Recommend and execute preventive actions resulting from those investigations.
• Serve as central point of contact between various partners, Velera Business Units and clients by assertively and proactively providing ongoing communication and action between all parties to ensure timely resolution and execution from Risk Management services teams.
• Coordinate and monitor open risk management service tickets, inquiries and projects to ensure response timeliness, accuracy, and quality. Internally raise partner concerns to appropriate service team employees, and upper management, verbally and/or via Velera’s internal ticketing process.
• Ensure that all questions/inquires/issues from the financial institutions are recorded and tracked through resolution following defined process with the appropriate resolution comments.
• Set and manage client expectations with regard to complex fraud mitigation system functionality, fraud related compliance and fraud mitigation rule and reporting implementation timeframes.
• Provide accurate cautions and clarifications related to client-specific conditions which could influence objective.
• Develop and implement professional presentations as the need arises for various fraud meetings and financial institution training functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively via WebEx and conference calls, additionally delivering high quality PowerPoint presentations via webinars and face-to-face meetings with financial institutions and upper management.
• Identify ongoing process improvements, operational gaps and potential remediation steps related to both existing and new financial institution experiences and processes.
• Participate in special project teams supporting general business initiatives outside of the primary fraud detection and analytics function.
• Lead and/or participate in assigned projects (internal and external) including cross-functional teams in support of Velera, business unit, and/or department goals and objectives providing best practice recommendations and oversight where appropriate.
• Maintain current working knowledge of all Velera offered products and service applications including its key functions, risk management options, and associated reports. Recommend reports which meet daily client needs and work with internal analytic teams to generate customized reporting options for the benefit of individual/all EFS financial institutions or where appropriate.
• Maintain an understanding of financial services regulations and requirements.

Risk Program Consultant

Analyst

• Supports the successful implementation of complex financial institution debit and/or credit projects by executing technical tasks and performing quality checks.
• Leads client consultation on business and technical requirements, incorporating them into the overall project plan.
• Completes Gap Analysis to define system set-up requirements.
• Provides consulting and guidance to clients on how to meet their business requirements for implementations.
• Communicates between technical groups at client and vendor locations, and data maps technical files between systems.
