About the role

Lead the architectural vision for Veeva Nitro's next-gen infrastructure on AWS
Lead the migration of the platform and create a new, scalable environment from scratch
Implement a robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategy using tools like Terraform and Ansible
Design and manage end-to-end CI/CD workflows across Development, QA, Stage and production
Ensure platform reliability focusing on durability, availability, performance, and correctness
Recommend and implement architectural enhancements, security policies, and new methodologies
Own tooling and the CI/CD pipeline in a startup-like setting, balancing performance, cost, and reliability
Collaborate with the Veeva Nitro team to transform the life sciences industry

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role with a strong focus on automation, tooling, and building distributed, scalable systems
Extensive experience designing and implementing deployment architectures within the AWS cloud environment (VPC, EKS, EC2, IAM, S3)
Hands-on experience designing and deploying applications using Kubernetes and other container technologies
Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Ansible)
Expert in GitLab and experience with Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
Solid understanding of monitoring and observability (Grafana, Prometheus, Elasticsearch a plus)
Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or Groovy (nice to have)
Experience with artifact management solutions (Nexus, ECR) (nice to have)
Familiarity with code validation and linting tools (Sonar) (nice to have)
Location: This role requires you to be in the PST or MST time zone
