About the role

  • Own the docs for your content areas for new features for monthly releases, including learning, researching, testing, and tracking the progress of each feature to understand what readers (both users and Admins) need to know to complete their tasks
  • Become an expert in Veeva Safety and contribute to peer reviews of other writers' documentation
  • Commit to continuous improvement and contribute to ways to improve content and processes
  • Contribute to the consistent voice of Help by reviewing existing content and maintaining a similar style
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and QA to ensure content is correct, complete, clear, and consistent
  • Craft new content and update existing content while maintaining consistent style and tone
  • Advocate for users and take ownership of high-quality writing as an active contributor to the team

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical writing experience
  • Post-graduate degree or certificate in technical communications or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and research skills
  • Ability to manage your time effectively when faced with competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and ask for help when you need it
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to expand technical skills
  • Ability to ask effective questions
  • Based in Eastern time zone
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in Canada; no visa sponsorship provided
  • Working knowledge of the software development process and cloud software applications (nice to have)
  • Experience working in an agile software development environment (nice to have)
  • Experience writing for regulated industries with a focus on pharmacovigilance (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with Markdown, Jekyll, Gitlab, and Jira (nice to have)
