About the role
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday and additional applications in the Talent & Performance and Core HCM functional areas, providing strategic guidance and hands-on support
- Lead and manage complex HRIS initiatives, including enhancements, new functionality rollouts, and cross-functional integrations
- Own the end-to-end configuration and optimization of Workday business processes, security roles, calculated fields, custom reports, EIBs, and scheduled releases
- Partner with HR teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to define system roadmaps, prioritize enhancements, and deliver scalable solutions aligned with business goals
- Analyze and document business requirements, process flows, and system impacts; produce high-quality documentation including functional specs, SOPs, and training materials
- Ensure data integrity through robust audit processes, validation routines, and proactive monitoring of system performance
- Lead testing efforts including scenario creation, test execution, defect tracking, and stakeholder sign-off
- Mentor junior analysts and HR teams on Workday capabilities, best practices, and change management
- Continuously evaluate system usage and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and increased adoption
- Stay current with Workday releases and industry trends, proactively recommending enhancements and innovations
Requirements
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities across global teams
- High attention to detail and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working independently or in virtual teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and influence outcomes without direct authority
- Strong customer service orientation and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
- Experience working across time zones and with remote leadership
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks including GDPR and SOX
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday, including configuration and support of Talent & Performance and Core HCM modules
- Proven experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable Workday solutions
- Deep understanding of Workday architecture including business objects, organizations, tenant setup, and integrations
- 7+ years of experience with HR systems and tools, including project management and system lifecycle methodologies (Agile/Waterfall)
- Experience leading HRIS projects from concept to deployment, including vendor coordination and budget oversight
- Familiarity with global HR processes and data governance standards
