About the role
- Execute the Technical Win: Partner seamlessly with Account Executives to deliver expert demonstrations of the comprehensive Vector Solutions suite, strategically tailoring the appropriate solution(s) to address the unique compliance, security, and technical requirements of government agencies.
- Be the Architect: Conduct deep-dive needs assessments. Translate complex agency requirements into actionable presentation strategies and solution designs.
- Data-Driven Storytelling: Leverage data visualization tools (like Power BI) to highlight key metrics and demonstrate clear ROI during client presentations and technical evaluations.
- Partner on Proposals: Work hand-in-hand with the proposal and sales teams to provide expert technical responses for complex proposals (including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs) and co-present customized product strategies directly to agency leadership and key stakeholders.
- Deliver Impactful Webinars: Act as a subject matter expert for scheduled marketing webinars, working from provided topics and discussion points to deliver compelling, highly technical presentations to our public sector market.
- Be an Active Industry Ambassador: Represent Vector Solutions at government tradeshows and conferences. Go beyond basic booth support by actively engaging attendees, driving prospects to the booth, and conducting on-site technical meetings and demonstrations.
- Ensure Client Success: Act as the technical project manager during the demonstration and evaluation phase, ensuring outcomes meet government client expectations before the final handoff to the implementation team.
- Drive Account Expansion: Partner with existing clients to deeply understand their evolving needs, proactively identifying opportunities to introduce additional modules or products from our suite to solve their ongoing challenges.
- Elevate the Team: Lead internal training initiatives for various teams, coaching them on product enablement, product updates, and technical processes.
- Collaborate & Shape the Product: Work cross-functionally across departments, serving as a critical feedback loop for our product development team to ensure our technology solutions and future roadmap align perfectly with our clients' mission-critical goals.
Requirements
- Public Sector Experience: 5+ years of client-facing experience in a software/SaaS environment, with a strong background in Federal, State, or SLED (State, Local, and Education) B2G sales.
- Security & Access: Must be able to successfully pass an enhanced security background check, possess the ability to enter federal buildings as needed, and work within specific Vector Solutions software environments designed to meet or exceed strict federal compliance requirements.
- Data Visualization Expertise: Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar BI/data visualization tools, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Project Management Chops: Proven experience managing technical projects, proof-of-concepts, or software evaluations, with a strong ability to juggle multiple priorities seamlessly.
- Communication & Polish: Outstanding presentation skills. You can explain complex technical concepts to both IT professionals and non-technical government executives with ease.
- Business Acumen: A strong understanding of government procurement cycles, proposal processes, and public sector negotiation. You are driven to exceed goals and increase operational profitability.
- Technical & Compliance Aptitude: High proficiency in learning new software systems quickly, with an understanding of government security and accessibility standards (e.g., FedRAMP, Section 508).
