About the role

  • Coordinate the activities of the state association and the regional Württemberg Engineers' Association (WIV)
  • Support the networking of professionals, companies and institutions
  • Coordinate the work of district and state boards, support committee meetings and ensure a smooth flow of information
  • Plan, execute and develop events that bring together professionals, companies and institutions
  • Support working groups, district chapters and networks with planning, communication and implementation of their activities
  • Carry out public relations to strengthen the visibility of the VDI, develop communication measures and strategically expand the digital presence (website & social media)
  • Maintain and expand contacts with ministries, companies, associations and other partners and shape a sustainable network

Requirements

  • A completed university degree, ideally in engineering or a comparable field
  • Several years of professional experience in a political, academic or corporate environment—preferably with experience working across different stakeholder groups
  • Familiarity with association or club structures and enthusiasm for professionally supporting volunteer work
  • Strong organizational skills and experience in event planning—from concept to delivery
  • Excellent communication skills: you write clearly, present confidently and adapt your tone to different target audiences
  • High proficiency in German (spoken and written) and confident use of digital tools, Microsoft Office and social media
  • Diplomatic skills, initiative and flexibility, including availability for occasional evening or weekend engagements
