About the role
- Build new features for the REST API and data processing engine using Typescript and Python/Spark, deployed on AWS
- Work alongside senior developers, architects, and QA to implement new features and enhancements
- Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews to ensure a high-quality codebase
- Contribute to improving the performance and scalability of the platform
- Automate deployments and CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure-as-Code technologies like Terraform and Serverless Framework
- Onboard by setting up dev environment, provisioning AWS infrastructure, fixing minor bugs, and making pull requests
- Take ownership of features/modules, support deployments, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in architecture discussions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development roles, with a focus on backend development
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (preferably Python and/or Typescript)
- Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, Step Functions, DynamoDB)
- Experience with large data processing and application scalability using Apache Spark and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Serverless Framework
- English B2 level or higher (required)
- Ability to work within Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours
- Strong problem-solving skills and passion for clean, maintainable code
