About the role
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients using CRM software.
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold calling, social media, and industry outreach.
- Establish relationships with key decision-makers at new host employers and identify upsell opportunities.
- Schedule and conduct meetings (including face-to-face) to assess client needs and present tailored solutions.
- Organize and lead speaking engagements at local and national events.
- Research industry trends and identify new opportunities to expand business.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive networking and partnership development.
- Monitor market and industry trends to remain competitive.
- Maintain a strong understanding of company services, market position, and competitors.
- Negotiate and close business deals that drive sustained revenue, collaborating with sales, marketing, and leadership teams.
- Secure J-1 training agreements with new host employers in full compliance with all visa regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or in a comparable sales-focused role.
- Demonstrated and consistent sales success.
- Experience selling services rather than products.
- Proven success with telephone and video-based sales.
- Strong relationship-building and rapport development skills.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Hospitality experience (hotels, restaurants, country clubs) strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 2+ years of proven sales experience in business development or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet goals.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in dynamic or high-pressure environments.
- Ability to travel as needed.
