About the role
- Hires, evaluates, and supervises a team of Practice Strategists
- Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew
- Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures
- Builds deep relationships with leaders throughout the Advice ecosystem including across sites, departments, divisions, and internal and external partners
- Oversees the development and implementation of Practice Strategy, book management, distribution-related strategies, as well as associated system/process development efforts
- Works with aligned Advice Leaders in the implementation approach with an emphasis on effective change management associated with the delivery of each of these key bodies of work
- Manages key stakeholder relationships to ensure clarity and buy-in are obtained throughout the implementation of each body of work
- Maintains close connections with Regional Directors and Senior Managers to enable early identification of challenges so that action can be taken to address
- Partners closely with AWM Client Health Senior Manager to ensure positive impact on the client experience and client financial outcomes
- Develops targeted ‘campaigns’ to address gaps in feature/offer delivery to support advisors and leaders in increasing utilization of these offer components
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years related business experience
- At least four years of project/program management experience
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required
- Previous people-leadership experience preferred
- Prior experience within the Advice business; CFP designation preferred
- Experience leading strategy consulting, business transformation, or target-operating-model design in wealth/asset management
- Ability to leverage data‑driven insights—analytics, forecasting, and dashboards—to inform practice strategy and performance management
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior management and articulate complex strategies clearly
