About the role

  • Control that the commercial credit risks are mitigated and Valmet Contract Policy is followed
  • Effectively and proactively supporting the businesses in all trade finance activities. Your main internal stakeholders being the Sales, Legal, Project, Logistics and Finance operations.
  • Support the sales in contract negotiations and with contractual wordings of the commercial terms, such as payment terms and financial securities
  • Support the business project operations through out the execution of the projects relating to the trade finance instruments
  • Negotiate and manage Trade Finance instruments such as bank and corporate Guarantees and Letters of Credit
  • Arrange trainings within Valmet to ensure that we have the adequate knowledge and competence in Valmet to manage financial risks according to Valmet policies
  • Develope Trade Finance processes and systems together with the team and seek efficiency through different ways of digitalization and utilizing AI

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Economics or in a relevant field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Trade Finance, preferably including also experience from the corporate side
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank and Corporate Guarantees and Letter of Credit
  • UCP600, URDG758, ISP98, SWIFT (MT798) knowledge is a benefit
  • Experience in Trade Finance related systems and tools will be considered as an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to work independently, be flexible and adapt to changing situations and timetables
  • Ability to work in multicultural matrix organization, build-up and maintain relations across multiple regions and areas
