About the role
- Provide advanced technical support within a 24/7/365 Technical Operations Center (TOC), specializing in complex network, datacenter, cloud, and enterprise application incidents.
- Act as final escalation point for incidents unresolved by Tier 1 and Tier 2 personnel.
- Receive and resolve escalated incidents within SLA targets.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across network, voice/video, datacenter, applications/databases, end-user performance, and AWS cloud.
- Lead root cause analysis for high-severity incidents and document corrective actions.
- Use Splunk for log analysis, event correlation, and proactive detection of anomalies.
- Assist in engineering projects, upgrades, and integrations of enterprise monitoring and management tools.
- Implement AIOps and automation initiatives to improve incident detection, correlation, and resolution.
- Collaborate with Performance & Analytics team to analyze trends and identify proactive remediation opportunities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of IT operations experience in a large enterprise, cloud, or federal environment.
- Active DHS or USCIS suitability clearance is preferred.
- Proven experience troubleshooting advanced network issues and performing full-path analysis across WAN/LAN and AWS cloud environments.
- Service Management experience, with familiarity in ITIL and/or CMMI frameworks.
- Expertise in enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Riverbed, New Relic, SCOM, Splunk).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and associated monitoring/troubleshooting practices.
- Experience with database and application monitoring (Oracle, SCCM, New Relic).
- Skilled in capacity and performance monitoring for enterprise and cloud systems.
- Strong trouble ticket management skills (ServiceNow preferred).
- Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic demands of a 24/7 operations environment.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional ( CCNP ), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional ( AWS Professional ).
