Product Manager

• Oversee the entire development process including initial research, brief writing, formulation development, packaging development, product testing, and production.
• Lead the Product Development team in building and maintaining clear, systematic project tracking that provides organization-wide visibility and sets a strong standard of accountability across the department.
• Establish and own the long-term product development roadmap, ensuring alignment with brand vision, market trends, and company growth objectives.
• Serve as the central point of alignment between Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure development priorities and launch plans remain synchronized.
• Manage external relationships with contract manufacturers, formulators and packaging partners to initiate and track projects, negotiate pricing and drive weekly progress.
• Evaluate formula submissions with the PD team, providing feedback and redirection as needed; ultimately securing internal formula approval.
• Partner with Product Marketing to develop compelling product storytelling, including key ingredients, features, benefits, and claims.
• Manage all product testing (clinical, sensory, perceptual, etc) and related documentation in support of claims and overall market readiness.
• Source, develop and conduct testing on packaging for all SKUs; domestically and internationally.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure supply chain readiness and smooth production transitions.
• Partner with the Creative team to ensure all artwork assets are developed on schedule.
• Oversee the QA/Regulatory Manager to maintain full brand compliance and to ensure quality and regulatory standards meet or exceed all requirements.
• Proactively identify and escalate issues or opportunities to relevant stakeholders.

VP of Product Development

Sales

• Strategize, build, and implement a comprehensive sales and commercial strategy aligned with the company’s short-term and long-term growth goals
• Lead the Sales forecasting process, including revenue targets, POS targets, and inventory/demand planning
• Identify market opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions
• Lead the sales team for a relentless drive for achieving revenue goals; achieving revenue growth through increased retailer distribution, new product launches, expansion into new categories, expansion into new markets, and the activation of trade spend / retail marketing initiatives
• Lead the monitoring of sales performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve aligned upon weekly / monthly / yearly goals
• Collaborate with brand marketing, growth marketing and product development teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies and successful achievement of commercial goals
• Build and achieve the yearly commercial targets, including revenue, distribution, and trade spend investment / calendar and channel net profit
• Successfully lead the negotiation and guidance for commercial terms and space / retailer authorizations
• Analyze and develop promotion strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Work closely with finance to analyze trade spend through month-end close and efficient combating of deductions, chargebacks, and retailer penalties
• Guide, mentor, and directly lead the Sales team, including Sales Directors / NAMs and support functions
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on achieving sales targets, company goals, and an overarching relentlessness in the pursuit of strong brand presence across all retail environments
• Lead Sales initiatives throughout the organization by partnering closely with Growth Marketing, Brand Marketing, Product Marketing and Product Development teams.
• Provide daily coaching and leadership across the Sales team h to foster selling excellence, continuously optimizing performance, learning and development opportunities, on-the job training, and career development
• Build and maintain strong buyer / merchant and senior leadership relationships across all retail channels
• Sustain high level of timely and effective responses to retailers / buyers - ensuring strong speed to market
• Cross-functionally own and support management of networking internally to marketing, operations, supply chain, accounts payable/receivable, and legal teams at retailers when needed
• Work closely with Operations team to ensure on-time, in-full, and compliant shipments to retail partners
• Work closely with Marketing, Design, and Product Development teams to execute the most successful and high quality go-to-market launch plans regularly
• Work closely with Finance team regarding revenue planning, trade spend activity, aged receivables, and retailer chargeback / deduction disputes as necessary

VP of Sales

Chief Marketing Officer

• Guide the new product ideation process in partnership with the VP of Product Development and the Director of Product Marketing, overseeing research, concepting, positioning, and portfolio fit to validate and bring new products to market.
• Lead and develop product marketing communications, working with internal teams to set, launch and maintain the strategic narrative for each product ensuring consistent messaging across all channels (website, retailer sites, training guides, POS, etc.).
• Oversee the creation of guides, resources, and processes that enable the team to craft product marketing copy and ensure its consistent, correct usage across all channels.
• Partner with the Co-Founder/CMO in developing each year’s marketing objectives and communications framework; ensuring the entire company is clear on the strategy and timeline for each year.
• Partner with our PR agency to lead and execute Vacation’s PR strategy.
• Define and guide the influencer marketing and community management strategy; managing internal and external teams to execute.
• Lead the development and execution of Vacation’s partnerships and events strategy; managing internal and external teams to implement.
• Oversee the Marketing Ops team responsible for producing all marketing materials and events ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in coordination with inter-departmental teams.
• Manage the marketing department; stewarding execution through your direct reports and agencies.
• Lead, hire, and develop top marketing talent, fostering a culture of creativity, strategic thinking, collaboration and efficiency.
• Participate in executive-level planning and decision-making for the company as a whole, as well as in the optimization of interdepartmental processes.
• Lead marketing presentations to various internal and external stakeholders.
• Own the Marketing P&L, setting and managing the marketing department budget with the Director of Marketing Operations.
• Develop, implement and continuously optimize department processes to effectively deliver on marketing tasks and objectives.
