About the role
- Take ownership of the AI-driven pipeline that processes thousands of articles daily
- Monitor and optimise AI-driven classification and entity extraction
- Manage quality metrics (precision, recall, F1) and drive continuous improvement
- Control and optimise AI processing costs, balancing quality with efficiency
- Ensure publisher agreement compliance for AI processing
- Analyse search patterns and platform usage to understand client information needs
- Expand and refine taxonomies based on real usage data and feedback
- Identify content gaps and opportunities for new information products
- Translate insights into actionable improvements for classification accuracy
- Report to the Head of Product and collaborate with Customer Success and product teams
- Ensure operational excellence, reliability, and uptime for production systems
Requirements
- 3+ years experience working with taxonomies, classification systems, or structured data analysis
- Strong analytical skills - able to spot patterns in large datasets and identify root causes
- Production mindset - understands the importance of reliability and uptime
- Excellent process improvement track record
- Technical competence - advanced Excel skills with data visualisation experience
- Proficiency in taxonomy management tools
- Knowledge of classification metrics (precision, recall, F1)
- Comfortable learning new tools
- Ownership mentality and detail-oriented
- Learning agility and clear communication skills
- Client focus - understands quality's impact on user experience
- Nice to have: legal domain knowledge (legal publishing/information services), Boolean search expertise, experience with AI-driven classification systems
