About the role
- Develop detailed project plans for IT infrastructure projects, including resources, timelines, and budget.
- Execute the project plan, ensuring that project milestones are achieved within the planned timelines.
- Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and budgets.
- Ensure resources are utilized efficiently and are aligned to project requirements.
- Identify and manage potential risks and issues that could impact project success.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including project teams, management, vendors, and other departments.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation, issue resolution, and performance evaluation.
- Oversee quality control processes within the project to ensure the final product meets the project requirements and quality standards.
- Provide regular updates on project progress to stakeholders and management.
- Document project processes and outcomes for future reference and learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- A Master's degree or professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) are highly desirable.
- At least 7 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on IT infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure technologies such as networking, servers, databases, and cloud services.
- Proficiency with project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest developments in IT infrastructure technologies and project management methodologies.
